Our wine adventure takes place at Gran Canaria Biosphere Reserve, declared by UNESCO in June 2005, due to the grandeur of its landscapes, its excellent pine forests, and its rich biodiversity, where traditional architecture and agriculture, born of an intimate symbiosis between people and their environment, form an attractive mosaic of small settlements and terraced crops, in which the inhabitants still preserve a unique intangible heritage…
Description
- There is a winding road that takes us to these vineyards, covered with colourful leaves in spring and ocher in winter. From these vineyards we can see the view of the mountains in the summit, its cliffs brushing the clouds and the palm tree forest dotted with the white houses of the village of Santa Lucía. A unique landscape!.
- The magnificent views and soils of this area of Gran Canaria are just sublime. We love stopping to enjoy the giant silence of the canyon while we learn the story tales of our producers…
- Santa Lucía village deserves all our attention, as it’s one stunning place. It’s so quiet, so beautiful and well preserved surrounded by dozens of palm trees where the architecture and traditional agriculture, arising from an intimate symbiosis between people and their environment.
- We are visiting the largest winery on the island and the highlight of our exciting itinerary. This is the winery with most vineyard plots spread all over our territory, a perfect opportunity to understand and learn the diversity of our territory in our glasses of wines through our unique grape varieties.
- Our amazing wines will be nicely pair with local products from the region to keep growing our local gastronomy knowledge.

About our wineries selections
The winery produces 8 different wines that express the microclimates where the vineyards are located. The vineyards in the South experience occasionally extreme winds, arid and hard basaltic soils, formed during the latest volcanic activities. The vineyards in the midlands of the island are old, with traditional red grape varieties. These old vines are situated above 1,000 meters of altitude, on steep slopes, with loose, rocky soils, and they benefit from the trade winds and mists that favor the cultivation during the ripening process.
